Raquel Ro is a mother and artist with an installation and performative approach. She also works in the production of objects and Artistbooks using engraving techniques. Her themes include the recognition of a female knowledge, based on her own personal experience and on texts and expressions by women from the present and the past.
Conceived in Mexico and born in Barcelona in 1981, graduated from the University of Barcelona in 2008, followed by a year of studies at the Art University of Mexico E.N.A.P and Erasmus in the Munich Art Academy under Matthias Wähner. In 2009 she established the printing workshop dreiUNdreizig, and today lives and works in Munich.
